NASDAQ Daily Advance-Decline Line has been warning since August about decreasing participation of stocks in the $NDX ( ▲ 0.61% ) rally.
While the short-term trend has reversed downward, both the intermediate- and long-term trends remain intact for the time being, as indicated by the 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
I understand that I have been consistently highlighting these cautionary signals, but it is essential to monitor and analyze the overall health and rhythm of the stock market. Those who neglect these indicators often experience negative consequences.
The remarkable rally in the NASDAQ 100 is currently accompanied by a negative divergence in the Weekly Advance-Decline Issues indicator.
While the NASDAQ 100 may experience a final surge, historically, such divergences have often preceded significant market corrections.
