Today, we will examine silver that some refer to as “cheap men’s gold.”
President Donald Trump on Monday announced that imports from major trading partners Japan and South Korea would face tariffs of 25% as of August 1, while several smaller countries would have levies ranging from 25% to 40%, if the countries don't remove trade barriers.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said yesterday in an interview with CNBC that several trade deals are expected in the next few days.
Silver
The four dominant cycles from the weekly SI (silver futures) chart suggest that the end of a 5-year corrective bounce is close.
Our more granular analysis in the Pro newsletter suggests that there is a bit more price appreciation potential.
Sentiment & Technical Analysis
The CNN’s Fear & Greed Index declined slightly, but it is still in Extreme Greed.
I'd like you to pay attention to the red Trendline (goes back to 1929) and the blue trendline.
SPX will find resistance at them, in my opinion, though it may revisit them a few times in the next few months, still grinding higher.
Notice also the negative RSI divergence over the last several years.
Some say "a fresh new bull market." I seriously doubt that.
