Warren Buffett’s Cash Levels

• Berkshire Hathaway sold an unprecedented amount of stock in 2024.

• Only in 2024 did Berkshire sell stocks for $134B.

• Over the last few years, its cash holding increased to $312B.

• It sold from late 2023 to mid-2024 about 2/3 of its Apple holdings.

• IN Q4’24 it liquidated its stock market holdings (SPY and VOO) and trimmed positions in banks, including  BAC, S, and COF.

• Berkshire Hathaway exits S&P ETFs, lightens holdings in three banks, among Q4 trades

Value Corner - Warren Buffet’s Long Pick

• But Berkshire is redeploying some of that cash into “value” stocks.

• I mentioned recently that it was buying Occidental Petroleum Corporation (OXY).

• I recently discovered that Berkshire was also buying Sirius XM (SIRI), which declined over 70% in 18 months – Do your fundamental analysis of SIRI.

• The chart below shows that the decline was a corrective (A)-(B)-(C) and is likely over. There are several technical positives for SIRI.

• Double positive divergences, orange and blue, in technical indicators such as RSI and MACD;

• SIRI broke impulsively over downtrend lines resistances defining wedges, gray, and blue.

• Apparently, it completed the ending diagonal for wave (C);

• It broke above the 10-week exponential moving average.

• However, SIRI may pause and consolidate at the declining 50-day moving average and technical resistance at 28 to 30.
