Sentiment & Technical Analysis
The CNN’s Fear & Greed Index shows increasing greed but is still below the mid-May high.
SPX is slightly overbought entering a traditionally 4th of July week.
There is a chance that the positive seasonality that started on Wednesday will bring SPX to a significantly overbought condition. We shall see.
The $NYMO, the NYSE McClellan Oscillator, is not impressive, but it is showing improvement.
The $NYSI, the NYSE McClellan Summations Index, has been whipsawing recently, maybe suggesting signs of exhaustion of the uptrend since early April, although SPX’s price momentum is still strong.
