Sentiment & Technical Analysis
The Fear & Greed Index just got to Neutral. Ideally, we look for turning points when this index is at extremes.
Small speculators are incredibly long, they must have been making mucho $$$ last year.
Will the “big guys” do a “rug pull” on them?
But this is not a short-term signal – This indicator has been extreme for months.
The technical analysis of market internals warned us about the stock market reversal on January 12, 2025. The cycles and Elliott Waves did, too.
But now, the stock market internals are weakening, at least as captured by the NYSE Adv/Dec line (upper window) and SPX up/down percentage (bottom window).
Although not calling the top yet, this chart indicates that the main part of the move in SPX is likely behind us.
