NG – A Widow Maker

· The natural gas market can be volatile. Prices can fluctuate significantly due to various factors, such as weather, geopolitical situations, and supply/demand imbalances.

· This volatility can be risky for businesses or individuals heavily invested in natural gas, potentially leading to financial ruin. In a figurative sense, this financial loss could be seen as similar to losing a spouse (hence, figuratively the "widow maker").

· As you can see from the weekly NG chart below, from the mid-2020 low to the mid-2022 peak, NG rose about 525%! Then from that peak

· The weekly cycles suggest that NG should turn up soon, not precluding a lower low first.

· The chart further below represents the detrended seasonality for NG. NG usually rallies in April when new contracts are signed. However, that was not the case this year.

· From June-Jully until later in the year the cycles and the seasonality will be in synch and pointing up.

· It looks like a nice opportunity is developing in the “widow maker”
